Rev. Lee Lovett – Teaching Elder - Pastor

Lee Lovett has been the Pastor of Northside Presbyterian Church (PCA) since August 2004.  He lives with is wife, Julie, in the Winder subdivision of Windemere, about 3 miles from the church.  Lee grew up in Macon, GA, and graduated from the University of Georgia; after which he ministered with Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Oklahoma.    In 1981, he graduated from Reformed Theological Seminar (Jackson, MS).

Lee has served as Pastor at Thomson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Centerville, MS; Associate Pastor and then Senior Pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, GA; and as Associate Pastor at Golden Isles Presbyterian Church in St. Simons Island, Ga.  He and Julie have three children, Kristin MacMillan who lives with her husband Matt in Charlotte, NC; Adam (Statesboro, GA), and Stephen (Gainesville, GA).  They also have 3 grandchildren, Tyler, Walker, and Lauren Macmillan.

Lee believes Northside has a tremendous opportunity to have a positive and dramatic impact on the community and surrounding counties as this is one of the fastest growing areas in the county.  He writes: Our vision is to build men and women of God who will impact their area of influence.  One of the many wonderful opportunities we will also have is to work with our Presbytery in planting new churches in the counties that surround Barrow County.  God has blessed us with a wonderful, caring congregation that wants to grow physical and spiritually.  In addition, the people have a world vision as we are active in giving to missions, praying for missions and missionaries, and going to the mission field.
